Rules
Claiming #1
- Each category has exactly one #1 at a time — the entry holding the highest confirmed paid bid.
- A brand-new category starts at $2.
- To take #1 from someone, you pay at least the current price +10%, rounded up to the nearest dollar. The exact minimum is always shown before you pay.
- Rank only changes after the payment is confirmed by Paddle. Abandoned checkouts never affect the leaderboard.
Roasts
- When you successfully outbid the current #1, you unlock one public roast — a single line, 140 characters max, aimed at the product you knocked down.
- Roasts are optional, but they're the best part.
- Every roast is reviewed by a human before it goes public. Rejected roasts never appear.
- Attack the product, not the person. No slurs, threats, doxxing, or sexual content — those get rejected on sight.
Defending
- If you get knocked off #1, you can reclaim it by paying the current price +10%, same as anyone else.
- Reclaiming your spot also deletes the roast written against you. That's the whole loop.
- We email the knocked-off entry a one-click link back to defend.
Money
- All bids are final and non-refundable — you're buying a spot, not a service.
- One exception: if two payments for the same spot clear at nearly the same time, only the higher bid wins and the other is refunded automatically.
- Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, which handles sales tax and VAT worldwide.
- No ads, no revenue sharing, no API keys required.
Removal
- We remove spam, malware, scams, and illegal or sexual content. Removed entries lose their rank and are not refunded.
- If the removed entry was #1, the next-highest confirmed bid in that category is promoted.
